Did you see the ads for Survivor during the Superbowl? The ads themselves were definitely in HD and not just for the promo-looking stuff - the few players who were talking - that video looked HD to me...
The specs say a lot about needing a "widescreen" TV, but if I have a 4:3 HDTV (Sony XBR CRT) that displays other HD content (in my case from Dish Network and OTA) just fine. Will the Apple TV not work?
Ok, I want this channel. How do I get it? And don't tell me "call your local cable or Dish operator" b/c they'll tell me "thanks for your input" and not do a damn thing. Where is it? I currently have Dish Network and while I wouldn't be willing to drop it just to get this channel, I would like to know who's getting this?
And, perhaps off thread, what other HD channels am I not getting that are really out there? I know Comcast has inHD and inHD2, but if I was going to start a campaign to tell Dish to get more channels, what other HD channels are there?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
