I think you'll find that Samsung has "borrowed" this feature from Panasonic's P-01A phone for NTT Docomo.

The different horizontal and vertical keyboards is achieved through a simple physical mechanism - the 2-way hinge slides the keyboard template vertically to reveal the alternate layout depending on which way it is opened. You can see how this works in pictures here:

The TV doesn't have to be bought directly from Sony, it can be bought from any authorised Sony retailer. Look at it this way - you get a HDTV for the best price you can negotiate AND you get a PS3 as well. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
It would be nice if it actually was a combination USB flash memory and stamp but it's not. It's just designed to LOOK LIKE one - specifically Shachihata's Name-9 stamp:

The Japanese that explains this on the Solid Alliance page is "外見からパッケージまでもがシヤチハタ「ネーム9」とそっくりのUSBメモリーです。

and

"注:実際はハンコとして使えません。"
No koppite1, TK had it right. That is a Virgin America's first plane (aka the Jefferson airplane). Virgin Atlantic does not fly A320s. Geez.
Refresh rate is unchanged. However, the horizontal resolution of each display is reduced to 1/3 of the total. The total resolution of the reference display is 533 x 480 pixels so the resolution of each view is approximately 177x480 pixels.
I don't mind the ads in Engadget RSS feed but I thought your execution of it left a little to be desired. There was no announcement, no explanation, no nothing - they just appeared in the feed one day at the bottom of every single post! After all the discussion on ads in RSS at Jason's weblog, I, for one, would have appreciated an announcement of some sort prior to the ads being implemented. Just to give me a heads up that it was going to happen and "smooth the transition" a little, if you like. One other thing - the ad text refers to "Free RSS feeds ...". Since you mention the word "free", my question is - where is the paid option for those who don't like the ads? It's a relatively small enhancement to make that would give users a choice and, secondly, generate a little revenue. Finally, a minor technical bitch - a line break or two between the article text and the ad would be nice. At the moment, the end of the article and the start of the ad text tend to blur together - making it hard to read both of them.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
