macrumorslive.com just got hacked in the middle of their newsfeed.
How about instead of a rerun of the first season of 'Life', NBC wakes up and realizes that a new season of 'Journeyman' instead would be a better idea?

I do feel sorry for fans of 'Life', however, since the new timeslot virtually guarantees that the show won't live out the season - enjoy it while you can.
Countdown to the obligatory "The U.S. is just as bad" comment begins now

I was trying to fill up a pug for gnomer about a week ago, when our fifth spot was filled with a lvl 32 warlock. When I asked that he bring out the imp for the +sta buff, he told me that the succy did more damage. After a bit of back and forth, he finally brought it out. Nobody in the group was getting the blood pact buff, and his imp died every time for the next 5 pulls. I finally asked him why he didn't have phase shift and blood pact turned on. He responded that he didn't have those in his spell book. When I told him to look on his pet bar, he said that they weren't there.

After him telling me that I need to "learn about locks" (despite the fact that my main is a kara-raiding lock) and that he wasn't high enough to train blood pact yet, I finally figured it out.

"You have been to the demon trainer, right?"
"What's that?"

It was at this point that I looked at the damage meter, and seeing the lock in a solid 5th place behind the healer, I decided to cut my losses and hearthstone out.
If I upgrade from a 4 gig iPhone to the 16 gig, do I have to sign a new contract with AT&T? If so, it's a nonstarter for me.
Fix warlock high end pets - I'd actually make the Infernal useful. All you'd really have to do is remove the requirement to re-enslave every five minutes. Put the summon on a one hour duration, with a one hour cooldown.
Any word on whether or not this will fix the messed up widescreen support in the PC version? They mentioned right after release during the media crapstorm that they'd be fixing it soon. It's been more than three months, and no patch or fix. Ho hum.

I made it about halfway through the game, but I've held off finishing it until they release a game that's not broken. I know that people could say I'm only punishing myself, and they may be right, but I've had a bunch of other wonderful gaming distractions in the interim, and I'm happy to wait.

Of course, this also means I won't ever be buying a 2K PC (or perhaps even XBox) title on launch day again - I refuse to put money into a game that is essentially broken on my PC, especially when the fix is basically ten lines of code to modify the POV value.

Oh, well.
I work for an enterprise software company. I am an architect and head engineer on a product that my company regularly sells for millions of dollars. I am paid very well for my efforts. I do not receive, nor ask for, royalties on the sales of the product. Myself, nor any of my peers, feel we have any sort of moral obligation to that money. In fact, if we stood up en masse and asked for it, we'd most likely be fired on the spot and replaced.

Why, again, is this any different from what the hollywood writers are doing? They produce a product that their employers turn around and make lots of money with. If I was a studio executive, I'd immediately fire every single writer that works for me, and offer slightly more money to any non-union writer that wished to work for me.

Unions are counterproductive and damaging to any industry that they touch.
Nooooo!

Who do I email/beg/bribe to get this enabled for my gmail account? I've been waiting for gmail IMAP for years!
I am planning on ditching Office 2004 for iWork '08 for everything I can.

The only hitch is the one last thing that iWork is missing - an Entourage killer. Say what you will, the combination of Mail.app and an iCal bridge like GroupCal just doesn't cut it.

I'd absolutely love to see Apple license ActiveSync and get their Exchange server support rock solid on both the iPhone and the Mac - I need a good Exchange calendaring and email client for work, and Mail.app's IMAP workaround just doesn't cut it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
