The Rocket Scientist (literally) of 3D Game Engines has passed judgement on the PS3 and the embedded RSX GPU.

"...The PS3 lags a little bit behind in terms of getting the performance out of it," John Carmack told Edge. "The rasteriser is just a little bit slower - no two ways about that..."

He does go on and commit somehow he will figure out how to sacrifice whats necessary to make it work at 60fps.

Guess that explains why games like Killzone 2 literally wash out texture detail during movement and add it as soon as player movement stops.

They are doing well, but they only sell through retailers and there aren't too many. I want it, but can't buy it and their website states they HIGHLY Recommend professional install which means I may never see it.

Want!

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
