Can someone clarify the target user of this device? It is simply for people who want to cut the landline but whose homes are located in bad cell reception areas? Or is the idea that you could relinquish all landlines and use this for your 'net connection?
Matey, why pay for it? Us space pirates just TAKE them things away from them little boys in pajamas. Of course, we don't really know what to do with them once we've gotten them, but it's the principle of the thing what matters. And the rum. Well, mostly the rum. Okay, entirely the rum. Now, what was my point?
About five years ago I bought my Dad one of Philips' USB jumpdrive/camera from their "Go Gear" line. The resolution was only comparable to the cameraphone resolution of the day, but it was a great little unit and he STILL uses it from time to time. A few years later I bought him a video-enabled camera from that same "Go Gear" line. The video was in a bizarre format that didn't play nice with the Mac OS (until later), but it worked as a DAP, camcorder, and camera. Of course there wasn't much of a market for that stuff in the U.S. yet, so that line of merch didn't seem to stick around very long here.
I refuse to beg. But it sure is keen.
What sort of prancing weasels would perform an autopsy upon an iPhone anyway??

What sort of ungodly marching golems are those?
(note: "golem" as in beings created from inanimate matter... wearing yellow disco boots)
Have I mentioned how terrified I am of robots???!!

Alls I know is that Captain Picard wasn't at the last meeting of the Captains Club, and he hasn't paid his dues since February. Plus he didn't make it to the ice cream social. I am THIS far away from having him kicked out of the club!! THIS far!!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
