Mac Mini has no digital cable tuners that I know of. No Blu-ray. No HDMI. Does it have IR remote support? Does it have an integrated TV guide?

HTPCs are definitely a niche market. No for everyone.
That's nice, but Sony offers the VGX-TP25E/B for only $1699 right now. And it includes 2 ATI Digital Cable Tuners, wireless keyboard, remote, and the specs are better.

I got one last week. HTPCs are great to reduce the number of boxes connected to the TV. The downside is cable's use of SDV.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
