Looks like the AVR-987 is around $1000, hitting an "audiophile" price point. One should be able to get interoperable HDMI switching in a quality receiver for less (my monoprice hdmi switch was a little over $100)
So then, what hdmi 1.2 receiver is quality at around $500?
JVC is out because of their recently exposed HDCP interoperability problems with tivo.
Is the panasonic sa-xr700 likely to be good, or should one stick with an analog receiver such as the denon avr-2307ci?

"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
