HD download link doesn't work.
So what's the difference between the HD-A35 and the HD-XA2?
I just went through this backup phase a week ago. I've been really good about my backups (usb drive, laptop, extra hard drive, etc etc, but realized that say my house burns down (or something else drastic), my backups go with it. So I wanted a simple yet stable and safe solution for online backups. I have a webhost that gives me TONS of storage (dreamhost), so I researched and researched, finally I kept it very simple...

cwRsync + Winrar + batch file + task scheduler

cwRsync (rsync compiled for Windows)
Winrar (I use the command-line version)
Batch file (wrote a simple batch file myself to rar and rsync for me when run)
Task Scheduler (so Windows handles running the batch file automatically)

The first time it syncs to the server takes FOREVER (still syncing as we speak). I blame my upload speed (stupid Comcast), I figure I have a week or so left of uploading, but rsync will do it's magic with the subsequent syncs and should exponentially lower the upload time.

Winrar password+encryption is pretty secure, so I don't care if the sysadmin at my webhost gets a hold of my files either. Just make sure not to use compression when using rar in the batch file, rsync can't do it's magic that well on compressed file (can't find similarities).
The ATI tuner won't be available retail for another year I think.

It's pretty huge, I think I'll wait a year until the internal version comes out (if there will be such a thing).

Glad cable card is getting used at least, the compatibility is horrendous thanks to cable companies being slow about it. Thanks to Tivo and this tuner hopefully it'll get a lot better.
@Norm

"American" Indian as in Native American? Because from the description it sounds like they're describing Hinduism, as in the Indian Subcontinent.
I'm sorry, I love those Harmony remotes (own 2 of them), but there is no way I'm going to fork over $500 for a remote, one that requires two hands to use, and has junk battery life.
Well hopefully they didn't steal any of the programmers from Bethesda. Those Elder Scrolls guys create the buggiest games upon release, going all the way back to Arena. No wonder fans have to create mods for unofficial patches for bugs Bethesda won't ever fix (Morrowind & Oblivion have unofficials).

Oblivion is fun to play though, which is strange since I could not get into Morrowind AT ALL, after enjoying Arena so much (skipped over Daggerfall, even though I bought it, it's in my closet somewhere).
Big Bumpin' + 4 friends == lotsa fun for hours, definitely worth the $4. The other games were alright, but for multiplayer, go bumper cars!
"Shine" is a racial slur? Since when?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
