Is Comcast going to force it's E! stars onto NBC shows? It was bad enough to see Bravo's "The Real Housewives" turn up on "Mercy" (yes, corporate synergy at work) so what's next - The Girls Next Door on "Friday Night Lights"?
I have a great UHF only "HDTV" antenna in my attic that picked up every station in Baltimore and D.C. Unfortunately, some of the stations I was once able to receive switched their HD frequency to VHF so all of these UHF only HD antennas are pretty much useless. Why can't someone make a good VHF/UHF antenna. Even Antennas Direct is misleading people with their packaging that states the antennas will pick up every HD channel (I tried one of their outdoor antennas that had that statement on the package). Not true if it's a UHF only antenna. The average consumer may not be aware of this issue, and the manufacturers should be required to list if the antenna is UHF only on the packaging. Most of them don't.
The book looks really interesting, so I hope they don't screw up the movie like Clint Eastwood did with "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" which bore little resemblance to the book.
I just want the whole format war to end with either one winner or each living together in perfect harmony - or a reasonably priced combo player that will play all formats. I refuse to buy on or the other, and even though I want the "Heroes" set in HD, I won't buy it until the war is over, and I won't buy it on standard DVD because they're not going to get me to double dip. Universal needs to see the light and support both formats since they're the only BD holdout.
Ummm, 30 Rock isn't gone. It was off for a few weeks so Andy Barker could premiere and tank, but NBC rushed the Rock back on a week earlier than scheduled (super-sized, even)...then renewed it for a second season!
Geez, can anyone say "The Honeymooners"?!? Stop remaking old TV shows! They rarely work. "Bewitched" sucked, "The Beverly Hillbillies" sucked, "Dennis the Menace" and "Leave It to Beaver" sucked, "I Dream of Jeannie" is going to suck, "Get Smart" has the potential to be good (Steve Carrell!), but will probably suck. "Mission: Impossible" pissed fans off by making Jim Phelps the bad guy. Why can't Hollywood get the message? Are they that out of ideas? The only remakes that actually worked were "The Fugitive" and "The Brady Bunch Movie." The rest sucked! What else do we have to look forward to - "Mama's Family," "Night Court," "All in the Family," "Maude," "The Golden Girls"? Stop the madness!
Yes, Bewitched is at the top of my list! I shudder to think what they'll do to "I Dream of Jeannie." I mean, Jimmy Fallon as Maj. Nelson? WTF?!?!? Maj. Healy, maybe, but not Maj. Nelson! AARRGGHHH!!!!!
Ummm, BSG is in HD on the UniversalHD channel. Saturdays at 9:00. Granted, they're about 6 months behind in the season, but I'd rather wait to watch on UHD than SciFi. Plus the first season is slated for an HD-DVD release soon!
Phil looks exactly like Bat Boy from Weekly World News fame! Or maybe Nosferatu.
Actually, John Black was a priest at the time and performed Marlena's exorcism and if I remember correctly the demon left her body and possessed him briefly before being cast out. I guess the deranged fan stopped watching before the casting out...but wasn't that like 15 years ago??
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
