This podcast is so full of mis-information..... I am not sure why you have this Wi-Fi spy guy as a guest.. He seems misinformed... He is just spouting HD-DVD propaganda...

Here is an example, he says that there are only 35,000 (That number is very wrong) set-top BD players that have been sold compared to the 120 - 200k HD-DVD players.. The HD-DVD number includes the add-on drive for XBOX, if you are going to include the add-on box for the xbox, you should include the PS3....

Just seems unfair...
Why is it that Richard along with so many others think that MPEG 2 means bad video quality? Do any of you guys own a Blu-Ray discs player? Momento, Training Day, Stealth, Haunted Mansion, and so many others look fantastic...... While VC1 and AVC can offer lower bit-rates, they do not provide a better picture quality. They were never meant to... If this was the case why is it that every studio has released titles in MPEG2.... Even Warner....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
