Maybe I'm missing something, but what's the point of yet another audio format? AFAIK, it brings nothing new to the table. Is it just because the Chinese wanted to get in on it?

I find it funny that the Scaled Composites site at http://www.scaled.com/ has a big graphic stating "Now Hiring!"

The whole point is that Apple is LYING about the reason why they're charging for it. If they'd just come out and say "yeah, the fee for this upgrade is $1.99", it would have been a non-event. It's the fact that they tried to blame it on some government account rules, which is blatantly false.

"David Bishop President of Sony Pictures takes the stage. He makes a joke about the Blue Man group that doesn't go over very well."

That seems to sum up Sony pretty well.

Maybe because the Echostar news conference was better done?

Man, that was a weak interview. Sounded like nothing but another PR rehash. Where were the hard hitting questions about DRM?
