After designing, developing, researching, testing, innovating and marketing one of the landmark consumer devices, how dare Apple insist that the components made by a bunch of complete strangers be subject to approval. What utter arrogance. It's not like they ever rigorously test any hardware components, so why do they choose to test something as unimportant as the applications?
It might also have something to do with iTunes songs being such ho hum audio quality. All that money for lo fi.....it's a shame really.
