Didn't Ziff consolidate their gaming group so that everyone was under 1UP, including mag staff? If so, what would happen is UGO would get all staff and web assets, including EGM management. Ziff would close the magazine but retain the name, in the event they want to relaunch down the road (or perhaps make an EGM-branded gaming site?).

UGO still needs the staff from 1UP, and they were already operating pretty lean, so I don't see anyone going anywhere.
This is such a better set list than RB2, although I like RB2 for the DLC potential.
One difference I saw was with the water effects - the PS3 looked more natural washing up to shore, and how the sun glistened off the ripples and waves. And the depth perception during the driving section was a little different too, but I don't know if that effects anything other than personal preference.
My wife would be completely ashamed of me for having a second Xbox, and one with a custom paint job of a sci-fi game to boot.
Sweet. I just read the book for the first time, and loved the previous Mustard bros./OSC collaborations (Advent Rising FTW!). I'm not so sold on it being downloadable though, as I want another epic game in the same vein as AR. However, that's what sank Majesco's ship, so that might not be a good idea after all...
I also have a problem with purchasing content on an unproven platform, for risk my purchases would go down with the ship if Vudu does not succeed. I've bought content from XBL Video Marketplace, on speculation one day there will be some synergy with the PC. But I'd be weary with something like this where I bought content I can't use anywhere else.
Great - I'm very interested to see your review. These media devices seem to have more quirks than their worth.
This looks a lot like the Mvix MX-760HD, so I wouldn't worry about it not coming to the US. Sadly, neither device handles MKV files...
ezadam - you need to install the Zune software on your PC to stream H.264/MPEG-4. WMP11 only streams WMV, it does not support the other video codes for media sharing. Weird, I know. Check the FAQ listed in the article for a link to the software.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
