thanks for this!
For me, it's a question of, how long will it take to load the discs. I gave up on my first (pricey) Sony for a PS3 for that reason. My PS3 is kind of noisy these days.
Happy Birthday PS3!
Such a speedy response from Universal! The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
Hey, Universal... I've got a few hundred here just waiting to be spent on your products on blu-ray. Want my money?
The Samsung blu-ray player at Amazon is currently selling for $479.99... I hate to say it but player price is really the only advantage HD-DVD can achieve at this point. It's not enough.
I'm trying to follow all of this... do the blue dorito chips figure in somehow?
I see nothing curious about the lack of combos... that was artificially inflating the prices by about $5. a disc compared to the blu-ray release of the same title. They've got all their chips in now...
Are they dropping their prices or having a going out of business sale?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
