You mean you want to "wring" his neck....

Live by the sword, die by the sword, my man.

Sadly I don't think either is matte. The difference is that one has a pane of glass covering the entire screen area plus bezel, whereas the other simply has the display exposed to air and a conventional bezel around it, also exposed to air.
Back when I had a Palm Treo 650, I had an app called BlueRemote that emulated a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I found it particularly useful for controlling media playback from my couch when my laptop was hooked up to my TV. I've been searching for an iPhone app that affords similar functionality and so far have come up short. If this mobo will accept basic keyboard and mouse input commands over Bluetooth, that could be particularly sweet, not to mention dramatically opening up the potential uses of this functionality by not building an app that only works for certain functions or with certain apps.
"And for some reason they only used the 16 GB version..."
"Arguments to the converse"??? Try "arguments to the contrary". A converse statement applies to logic statements such as "If/then" statements.

Why do Engadget writers overall seem to be experiencing a general decline in their spelling/grammar/vocabulary skills?

Based on what I've read about it and the verbiage of the Palm/Sprint statement, it sounds like they're just having trouble pushing data to new devices. If that's the case, I suppose it's some comfort that the data isn't lost, but in some ways that makes it even more frustrating to know that the data is out there but not available to you.
With regard to the last sentence of the article, can the Pre even be backed up manually? I thought there was no way to do that.
Yes I get that it's a fault of the RAID controller, but as others have pointed out, for this price they should have better RAID controllers and/or upgradeable firmware. Saying it's the RAID controller's fault rather than the SSD boards' themselves doesn't exonerate the product; the bottom line is that TRIM doesn't work on this product and there won't be a way for a user to add it later with a firmware update.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
