they want you to use the gift card for a bluray purchase for movies or player, not.
- im happy with my hddvd
purchase. bluray is still a incomplete product. this is just another way of trying to stick you with buying something you dont want. since toshiba's announcement I have bought more than 20+ movies, I dont intend on buying a bluray player. the early buyers of bluray got screwed as those players cant play some of the more resent titles and the firmware cant be utilized because earlier players weren't equipped with internet connection/ethernet outlet. Im not buying into this b/s I love my hddvd player.
beowulf,300,the kingdom,american gangster,constantine,planet earth,hustle and flow,we were soldiers,transformers,blood diamond,jarhead,thefugitive,ri ddick,bourne ultimatum,traffic,friday night light,shooter,kingkong,meetthe parents,meet the fockers,erin brockovich,pride and prejudice,full metal jacket,army of darkness,four brothers,12 monkeys,blazing saddles,and breach. so there, this is hi def for your arse!!!
toshibas A-35 upconverts better IMO. I haven't seen what the others can do, but I do know that my A-35 does upconvert better than my xbox 360 add-on. I bought a blueray player just to see if it in-fact upconvert better than my toshiba player; it doesn't, it make sony's bluray player looks ancient by conparison. 85% of my SD movies upconvert by way of a-35 and does it well.
its funny when universal strewed up american gangster how quickly engadget was on that story, to again smear hddvd in its grim and futureless life. but when beowulf is released on hddvd and can outshine any disney movie or any movie on blu-ray for that matter wasn't presented on engadget because of its rave reviews. we all know that you're a bias site just give credit where credit is due.
what a jack ass, sony own the rights to bluray that is a sony product. what a moron.
engadget writers are all hating on the hddvd and its combo capabitlities. lets see if bluray can produce a combo disc. your shitty bluray have won with the help of warner and fox, but bluray have always been inferior to bluray thats why you f@ggs were always hating on hddvd and the fact that it had some of if not the best movie studios on the planet. hhddvd will live on in my living room and basement. I wont buy a bluray until it is comparible to hddvd; they (sony) still have ways to go before they can equal the likes of hddvd. and for you engadgethd how can you call yourselves hd when your'e bias. this site discusses me.
I stongly disagree with #12 comment. people that dont know that they are racist almost always miss the point; Cris isnt yelling or cursing people out when he's up on stage. Theres a certain level of respect you give your audiance you and Sir Richard are fucking racist. go and read your fucking history books and other related topicsand see how fucking racist this coutry reallyis. One french settler said this country wil never be free from racism because this is the only country that based slavery on color.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
