When doing the change of service address, remember to leave the telephone line un-plugged and don't order any pay-per-view events that require the phone line.

Another problem you MAY encounter is that ever since the courts ruled against DirecTV and Dish Networks for letting applications like yours slip through, most of the local television stations on satellite were moved to SPOT BEAMS on the satellites - thus, making it physically impossible to receive those channels. (DirectTV places New York Channels on their New York Spot Beam - you would receive KRON-TV - http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/directvusa101.html On Dish Network, the primary New York stations are on the main feed - http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/dish119.html )

Technically, what you are doing is illegal as broadcasters have market exclusivity for their programming. That includes the reception of out-of-market signals, which is what you are proposing. However, it is done almost everywhere as people set up vacation homes, RV's as well as "friends and family" under a master account.
I live in Greensboro and have been watching Sinclair's WXLV for several years in High Definition - for FREE!. They have one of the best HD signals in the market. To get HD on cable (if Sinclair and Time Warner made nice), it would cost me close to $70 a month.

All the press articles takes the cable company's view. As an early adoptor - RCA DTC100 HD Receiver, I was watching HD long before the cable company even offered it. (I bought the receiver on eBay.) To read the articles, it would make you think that you could not watch a Free Over-The-Air television signal.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
