Need bathroom speakers, was just talking about needing some yesterday
I have several plasmas, LCD's and a projection system. I often times choose the projection system over the other sets during the day time. Mine is located in a room with many windows. I think the key here is that you need to purchase a good screen like the Stewart G3. You also need to eliminate direct light hitting the screen from the windows and lastly engineer your lighting so that no lighting comes between the projector and the screen. For example space can lights to the perimeter of the room and use spot bulbs and black inserts to get a very focused beam of light. If you do these things along with purchasing a moderately bright projector you should be in good shape. If you watch a lot of TV, plan to get around two comfortable years out of the bulb between replacements.

My Letter to the FCC
I don't feel it would be right to enable SOC. Although, I do
believe in the adherence to local and national law, I do not believe the MPAA stands for what is morally right and just. To continue the ban on SOC draws a line in the sand that should not be crossed. To enable this feature on hardware would essentially be equivelent to the creation of a grey area and would in my opinion eventually lead to other things. An all out ban on SOC is the only solution to prevent further measures which could have even further reaching effects on the consumer's ability to use and enjoy rightfully purchased media and electronic equipment.
Thats becayse only 1 out of 8 people are smart enough to look past specs and hear-say.
I do a bit of business with a higher level Microsoft sales guy and we actually had this conversation yesterday. He said at some point the next generation 360 will support Blu-Ray.
Did I miss out on the fact that today was 3-D day or something?
Great Job Kurt! I hope this turns out to be a catalyst for for the growth of your company! I enjoyed the humor in the letter.
What a dissapointment......

Out of all of the players to do this first, it has to be the one with a non-detachable powercord that is about a quarter of the diameter of good speaker wires. Too many companys do not go the extra step to ensure their product will be adopted into higher end systems.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
