Goodbye Creature Comforts

Creature Comforts was the perfect summer replacement show. It wasn't up to long term viewing but it was so clever in its animation of real conversation. So-called reality shows never have dialogue this real. By having friends and couples respond together it really showed our humanity more clearly. The little background gags really made the show a treat. I hope it will be available on DVD.

Where are the portable ATSC TVs?

I'm glad you mentioned this. I saw the little LCD TVs at RadioShack and wondered how many people are going to get one this year only to find it useless in 2009? I guess it won't be until the end of 2008 that we'll see portable ATSC TVs. Some manufacturer needs to put the compact ATSC chips into a small 16:9 LCD box. Another question would be how well they would work in the field without much of an antenna?

"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
