i have a pioneer elite kuro pro-111 plasma best tv i've ever seen in my life, i have a panasonic px75u plasma 720p and a rca f38310 crt tube. the only thing that can be better then the above will be oled, i will take a plasma over a led lcd.
Joe you have an lcd and lcd cause pixelation issues due to the technology limits motion blurr and motion resolution (2 diffrent things) now the smaller the set the harder is to spot this but given that you have a 70" (i like it) you will notice it.

thats for fast motion, get a plasma and i swear you wont have the same beef.

Dan That is Not true Please dont give missleading information. For HD any size doesn't matter FOR Standard defintion SD it DOES. Check your tv and your settings and equipment.

dan then STFU and get Cable LMAFO and you will really have POS service. Check your equipment if its OLD and not current. OR better yet what kind of tv do you have? if you have a panasonic or a samsung or sony thats fine but if its a No name brand Olevia and such LMAO
ultimate x i agree but here is where i would like to correct you, you stated "Point is that It is important to have a 1080p receiver even if programing is not 1080p "

when insted its best to have Native resolution for best option to avoild CONVERT upscale de-interlacing.

so that being said as native if your tv show or game is natively 720p then the best choice is for your tv to be 720p

if your tv is 1080p then you defitnaly want to feed it 1080p signal that way you avoild scaling / interlacing.

but yes i agree if you have a 1080p tv feed it 1080p insted of 1080i

as far as the processor / video scaler outboard or tv's internal one that goes to a diffrent degree.

In regards to this article movies are going to be 1080p not all tv content Yet eventually in the future it will.

but is it the same as blu ray quality? Heck NO! the bit rate and framte rate is reduced so you will see difference between a blu ray vs downloaded HD movie or satelite oh and please dont bother with cable i have yet to see even a good digital signal nevertheless HD lmao!
why sony why this bullshit? this is why you and other companies bring piracy, owners that bought these movies that have issues have to bypass it to watch our own legally bought movie!

their will ALWAYS be a way to bypass everything Always so dont put this crap!
i await the day sed comes into the public once it does plasma lcd oled fed and any other tv technology currently wont have a chance

this is from a guy that seem the pioneer kuro pro-111 the best flat panel in the planet.
and im looking foward to the same quality but still would take directv over any cable provider!.
no new receivers are needed as long as you have your current B band device that goes between the coaxial cable. 1080p is still mpeg resolution, EXAMPLE**** Even if they made everything from 1080i to 1080p you would NOT need new equipment. ****

but that wont happen due to not enough space but im glad i have directv.
shelley 5010FD is the 8th generation aka 8g of the non elite pioneer lineup the 1150 is the 8g elite edition, the PDP 5000ex is an older model i belive it was one of the first few 1080p models, 4gs? god no! for that price you can get a 9g Pioneer Elite PRO-111FD ......

"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
