Haha, I'm so sleep deprived right now I spelled "Compliant" wrong. My apologies internet.
Specs sheet says "Windows 7 Complaint" (http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/MONITORS/SX2210T/en/ug/about.htm#plug_and_play_capability scroll down to "Touch Screen Specifications"), if that means "Passed Windows 7 Touch Logo testing" should mean multitouch right?
Is there someone at IBM you can talk to if you bought one of these? I can't figure out if I'd need to talk to their legal department, service department, etc. I'm trying to figure out if they can issue me a cheap replacement for this knockoff, or if I have to sue Shentech to get a refund for this, or how dangerous this thing is. I confused the hell out of the poor Indian guy at the switch board when I tried to figure out who to talk to about this.
Too bad these guys are notorious for lousy picture quality and reception. Belo bought all their HD gear really really early and got 1080I stuff, but ABC broadcasts in 720P so they mess with the nationwide feed when they transmit it, and the results are about as great as TNT HD.
Oops, I forgot to note the Lite-ON isn't dual layer. However, the Panasonic and Sony models are, and are both available for $50-100 less than this drives current price.
Newegg and ZipZoomFly already have the Lite-On 2X Blu-ray burner in stock for $600 US with free shipping. It's Serial ATA and comes with the player software too, I'm so close to ordering one. The other two fairly cheap released US models are the 2X Panasonic which can be found for $650, and the 2X Sony which can be found for $700. Basically, even if that price includes Japan's 5% VAT, the drive isn't that tempting.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
