Ah, what would fall be without Dallas Cowboys fans misspelling and shouting (TURN THE CAPS LOCK OFF) and screaming about if just one player, just one, was able to do his job, well all would be right in Jerry's world. Well, I have news for you, nothing is going to change as long as Jerry owns the team, and hires pliant lackeys as head coach, because he's afraid of strong personalities who would steal his spotlight. The best you Cowboy fans have to hope for is that Jerry has a massive coronary and Steve takes over. Otherwise, it will just be more of the same.

But, hey, thanks for the entertaining posts. It make me chuckle at the Texas educational system. But then again, half of Cowboy fans live elsewhere. It's been my experience in living in different places around the country that the lower the IQ, the greater the chance of the person being a Cowboy fan.

So for all you Cowboy fans, I'll type v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y -- your team will never win the big game.
The Eagles have a number of corporate sponsor partners. I would suggest contacting them to let them know how thrilled you are that the team signed him.

I'm a little confused by your "chilling statistics". The link you provide goes to an article that talks about a single study. That study showed that of 107 women with breast cancer diagnosis, 13 had their husbands leave them. Of 86 men with a cancer diagnosis, only one woman left. Yet, you claim that three quarters of male partners leave their women within one year of diagnosis. Where did you get this from?
If you're going to claim something and provide a link, you ought to make sure that the link actually confirms what you are saying. Otherwise, it's considered making it up.
I did not hear anyone complaining about the two teams not playing each other in the regular season this year.

Wow. You must have been in a coma the entire latter half of the year.
Judging from his prose, CP3 Is the Chairman of the Literature Department at the University of Tennessee. I know that's where I'd go if I was a recruit who wanted an edgecayshun.

Tennessee fast facts -- what do you call at Tennessee girl who can run faster than her brother? A virgin.
Sorry Mr. Jolley, that non-apology apology won't do. First, who was questioning the noninvolvement of your reporters? No one. The problem was Duff Wilson REMAINED involved, long after all of his reporting had been discredited. I must tell you, whenever I see his byline on a piece, like the baseball steroids issue, I immediately discount it. He will be forever identified as a biased hack.

Then there's the matter of your columnists -- Selena Roberts and Harvey Araton. Their performance was nothing short of disgraceful.

Finally, to say that your only regret was being taken in by a rogue prosecutor and the "overreaction" of the University is pathetic. You were leading the charge condemning these boys, forcing the hand of the University with your politically correct, white men are evil, so they must have done it attitude.

That might have worked if the falsehoods and manipulations by the prosecutor in the Durham Police Department hadn't been so obvious. As it was, your reporter, your sports section, your paper, disgraced themselves entirely with the August 2006 front page Sunday piece falsely claiming that the prosecutor's case had merit, based on your review of the "complete file". As was shown in the disbarment hearings and in the attorney general's investigation, there was nothing. NOTHING.

You would've thought the Times sports section would have learned their lesson after their ridiculous crusade against the Augusta National Golf Club. Apparently Howell Raines still lives there, at least in spirit.
I recently found this channel added to my Dish Network high definition lineup. I have now tuned in about a half dozen times. Nothing has been in high definition. I scrolled through the channel lineup, going forward two weeks. I can find nothing listed as being broadcast in high definition. What's the point? If anyone knows could they point out a single show that is actually broadcast in high definition on this channel?
I have to agree with Rick, poster #19. This loss was necessary for the greater good of the franchise. As long as they limped along, in playoff contention, the Mara and Tisch families would not make a change in coaches. Going into the last year of his contract, management was faced with either extending his contract or firing him -- keeping him on as a lame-duck, no contract extension coach was impossible -- the players would tune him out completely, as they apparently already have.

I've never been a fan of coaches who are screamers. But this one takes the cake. For me, what he did last year to his best player, Tiki Barber, was indefensible. After Barber's comment that the Giants had been outplayed and out coached in the loss to Carolina, Coughlin publicly took him into the film room to show him all the missed assignments and mistakes. Well, of course there's going to be missed assignments and mistakes when the other team shows you steams and formations that you've never been prepared for. And when your coaching staff makes no adjustments. Any further publicly humiliated Barber by making him speak to the assembled media. I think that's the moment when Tiki Barber started thinking about retirement.

The final straw was the Tennessee game, when Mathias Kiwanuka made the mistake of letting Vince Young go, not knowing that he still had the ball, and not wishing to get a 15 yard roughing the passer penalty by taking him down. Coughlin should've put his arm around the kid on the sidelines, tell him that he's going to be a great player, and let them learn from the mistake.

Instead, he screamed at him on the sideline, and throws him under the bus to the assembled media after the game. A terrible coach. As a human being -- belittling others and blaming them for your mistakes. Enough said. As was said in another context "Begone, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"
