More info on generic CE 3100 below. Specs look amazingly great. No vendor has been able to deliver a robust media player yet, especially 1.0v, so I'm not holding my breath.

Bitstreaming LPCM via HDMI?
Open source mods allowed?

Blu-Ray and HD-DVD rips?
Blu-Ray advanced audio codes (TrueHD and DTS-HD)?
5.1 or 7.1 analog out?
Slysoft has really great software products. I'm looking forward to SlyPlayer. Hope to toss out the other players. I'm cautious though, since no one has ever gotten a player right. As good as Slysoft is, I fully expect some bonehead issues.
Want dual core, HD playbackable, HDMI
Studio XPS 16 - longer battery life (most important), lighter, cooler, less of a fingerprint magnet

Studio XPS 13 - RGBLED of 1440x810-ish
I spent a lot of time checking out Powerline devices. Here's some secrets that I discovered.

1. Don't plug Powerline devices into a surge protector. It will lower throughput.
2. Check for noisy AC adapters and other electrical devices. They can kill bandwidth. Check all your devices by unplugging them and testing bandwidth speed. You can sometimes hear their interference on AM radio.
3. If you find a noisy device, put it on a surge protector. It will reduce the noise. Cascading two surge protectors may be even better.
I posted a review on Amazon. I mentioned quite a list of faults. There's plenty for HP or anyone else to chew on. In short, I think most peeps will be disappointed by the multi-touchscreen experience but not necessarily a multi-touchpad experience. The AMD processor, chunky battery and sweetspot challenged screen all need to be addressed. A multi-touch Atom 280 netbook will beat the pants of a TX2.
LED backlit? Better double check. HP isn't stating showing that spec and most sites omit that spec.
If it features bitstream it would be an incredible bargain. Confirmations?
How did gadget blogs miss this? It's been on Dell's site for over a week.

"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
