Is that the Verizon guy in the lower left?
Don't forget Norm MacDonald's F-Bomb during weekend update in 1997.
I just watched season 1 of Deadwood, loved it, and I'm in the middle of season 1 of True Blood, and it's enjoyable. I like to spread the shows out, watch one season at a time and take a little break. Thinking about starting up the Wire, but is Carnivale worth starting? I never gave it a look before this post.
I just switched this week from iPhoto to Picasa. I had so many issues getting my albums uploaded to MobileMe, and speed issues with iPhoto, taking 30s to a minute to launch, I just got tired of it, and decided to check out Picasa.

I had already been using a Picasaweb upgraded account, but there's no synchronizing with iPhoto, just uploading with a plugin. With Picasa, it's a full sync of my photo albums, online and offline, and even Google Maps Geotag data syncs back down. I have to say, Google's got it right with this one.

iPhoto user for last 5 years or more, but I have to give it up to the Google. I migrated all my albums three days ago, backed up my iPhoto Library (just in case), and deleted it from my hard drive.
this show is way more entertaining than I would have expected. I really enjoy it, but I can also understand how people in the medical profession can get annoyed at it too.

I hope the show can last without using up all the possible material right off the bat. I call that, "Boston Public" syndrome. Yes, I'm sure everything that happened on "Boston Public" was something that possibly happened at some point in some school, somewhere in the country, and they just took all those crazy things and had them happening at just ONE school. In Nurse Jackie, it's the same thing so far, just a hospital setting, and I think the only problem is that they'll run out of material.
there is a box. It's the HD-PVR from Hauppauge. It's actually quite awesome, but it's h.264, which isn't supported in Windows Media Center. It works in SageTV and has since May. I prefer the Vista route with the XBOX 360 as of now, but I did use the HD-PVR to record 1080i from my cable boxes before I downsized my cable package.
Have several of these at my work for testing and digital signage. It's an amazing little box, and it plays just about everything you through at it. It can loop all the movies or just loop an individual, which is great for that purpose.

I've downloaded many 1080p quicktime trailers and set them all up as a looping demo video.

I also can play back content from the Hauppauge HD-PVR component capture HD box with no issues either. This box is great for what it does.
I'm getting so fed up with all of it, I'm about ready to dump down to the lowest possible cable option (I'm too far for OTA to be an alternative) and rely on the internet and iTunes style downloads for everything else. I know there are limitations, but it allows me to support what I want, pay less overall, and still watch Patriots football without issue.
I believe he is referring to the og in analog... haha
Actually, it's a backwards analogy. As the seller of the burger, I'm all for you buying it from me and taking it somewhere else. In gets the advertising out of the store, and somewhere else, and I don't have to clean up after you for using my tables and services.

The analogy is more like buying their ketchup/special sauce, so you can put it on someone else's burger.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
