I have cable and HD but in my car the TV part of the Pioneer touch XM/Nav/TV/DVD unit is analog of course.

I simply asked around and one of the cable people who requested vouchers gave me one.

It's not only old or poor people who need converter boxes. I added to my car a Pioneer Touchscreen/Nav/XMradio/Radio/TV unit.
I just realized last month that though Im a wired HighDef guy all around, my car is going to lose its TV capability in a month.
(don't worry folks, its supposed to be disabled when driving.)

Fortunately, as many have pointed out, a lot of cable tv owners "accidently" requested vouchers theydon't need.
I simply put out the word on a town forum and someone gave me one of their coupons.

Enough jokes. Suppose I said this think would cost you $10k and save you 400 bucks a month on electricity. By law the power company has to buy your generated electricity up to what you use per year.
THINK SMALLER! A small conventional, family sized-windmill does have major friction loss, gear-up inefficiencies.....They do not work unless your local wind speed is 12 mph or more. There is much energy at lower speeds but no device to harness it. If this does the trick down to 3 mph, it's a HOME RUN. Let the Chinese (or anyone) build them cheap enough for a 2-5 year ROI (return on investment) and you'd be fool not to put one on your house with a 15-year mortgage!

The Fuji technology I'm eagerly awaiting is in the Z5FD I pre-ordered.
The massive image processor in it finds faces (up to 10) and sets both PERFECT exposure and perfect focus, even if the face is stuck in a shadow, off center, and with a tremendously bright background. Also auto taking a flash and non-flash is cool too. I know from experience that Fuji's ASA 1600 is very noise-free; they combine the output of two sensors to do it. I'm not a professional. Almost all my shots contain people. I'm not too proud to get such expert assistance from a machine.

(I love my Samsung 244T). Great for HighDef cable or satellite box use and you're covered for MS Vista buy just buying a video board.

Jake is more than right. I just bought a Samsung 244t 1920x1200 monitor BECAUSE it had HDCP. Surprise - the component video display is BETTER than with DVI/HDCP.
Brighter, more correct gamma correction, I'm sure. Same sharpness to the best that I can see.
DVI is key for the PC interface at that res, of course.
Good to know that I'll need HDCP for BlueRay and/or newer HD-capable video boards, though.
I think HiDef is far better on 24" monitors two feet away than on 40"-60" LCD TVs 4'-8' away. Plus your investment gives you awesome PC desktop space.
