Some people keep counting the ps3 as a blu-ray player, yes it does have it but according to this http://kotaku.com/gaming/how-do-i-hd/most-ps3-xbox-360-owners-unaware-of-hd-features-287579.php it seem like to me that the ps3 should not be counted as a stand alone player. I do have a ps3 I do use the blu-ray, but all I'm saying is should it be counted, when someone get a toshiba player it's for 1 reason: watch HD DVD, when people buy a ps3 it's mostly for gaming. Anyway will see who will win.

Seem like many people count the ps3 as a blu-ray player! sure it is, but according to some research and I've seen it posted here ENGADGETHD, ENGADGET, I do not remember really how many percent but no more than 25% of xbox 360 or ps3 owner have an HDTV. So my point is the ps3 cannot be counted as a potentiel player. Only real players or add-on (360 HD DVD)should count because we know they've been bought for HD purpose. Anyway I just want a winner.

spiderman 3 will be on BD so is pirates 3.I'm not a fanboy I respect both formats but we have to see the good and the bad in each and the bad for HD DVD is the studios damn it, but that's why I got both, I'm just waiting for a good combo player.

Everybody seems to forget europe, I know it's only as big or even more than the US, Blockbuster is renting both format in here (london) at the moment, I don't know if that will change, this format war is like paris hilton if we didn't care about it it would have no succes, I got a ps3 and a toshiba as I always say here I like HD DVD because of no region coding, and Blu-ray because of the studios they have I mean pirates, spiderman that's a must have. I would love an end to the war by the end of the year. But this Blockbuster move won't change much I think. With about 50 Blu-ray titles on the shelves (at most) here, I don't see how Blu-ray can make it. Dave? It's not a fanboy question because I'm not but if HD DVD wins what would you do? I agree ckelly. I do not have a side I just which that one format wins and that's it, but if the winning format is blu-ray and this kind of problems happen, that's not to good is it? Also blu-ray is not to big in europe believe that, if you want to watch the latest blu-ray titles you must have a region A (region 1) player ( because of region coding ). I got a toshiba HD DVD player and I can get my movies from anywhere (cheaper). If blu-ray is to wins the format war it's not only by having disney ( well if they stay, specialy after that comment sony made: stating spiderman 3 made a best result than pirates 3 ). Rot on discs what's next blu-ray? PS: To any blu-ray fanboy do not jump on me I support both formats and as a potential buyer I have to see the good and the bad in both formats, so keep your comments for yourself.

Guys sony is not making any copy the light guns are not working with new gen tv's means lcd, plasma, etc they had to find a new way to make it work, and also time crisis 4 is not a sony game, ok that's for the haters. Blah blab blah blah, Yeah all about USA. I live in london I got a ps3 and a 360 addon. I got 30 HD DVD titles and 2 blu-ray titles (1 free with the PS3) why is that? Because it's so fucking hard to find blu-ray in europe and if you do they imported, my PS3 is PAL so I can only watch pal blu-ray. on the other hand HD DVD is region free that means "ebay US heaven". Also do not forget some titles which are blu-ray excl in the US are released from different studio in europe (I said some) like underworld evolution, and a few more. Anyway this war is not over yet, and BDA should get more titles in europe. No good game on PS3(now) and no movie to watch. WTF.

Why the fuck most people want build in HD DVD drive microsoft support HD DVD but don't forget they said if blu ray wins they will provide a solution which mean a blu ray addon. At this stage blu ray got more support. So what's the point of having the drive build in, and no one knows if the format will win. Don't tell me it can be use for better graphics and longer games, that still can be done on dvd.

march 25 2007. London UK. How many playstation sold? Not many sorry! Virgin 12am 120 people to get there shiny ps3. Wii still sold out, xbox360 still doing well. I will get a ps3 but not for games, ps3=cheap blu ray player. Xbox 360 elite bring it on ( if it's true).
