All I know is I need a new Android phone to replace my G1, I hope either I can get a Droid unlocked that works on T-Mobile 3G, or that Sony Ericsson X3/X10/Xwhatever turns out be the amazing Android phone it sounds like....and T-Mobile gets it.

Does anyone know if T-Mobile uses the 3G bands used in Europe, or the ones AT&T uses here in America?
The problem is that Google doesn't provide their built in apps on the Market, so if he didn't package them in, then there would be no way to get the Gmail, Calendar, Youtube, Google Talk, among other apps. Hell I don't even know if they'd allow him to even keep stuff like the Alarm Clock and Browser. The only built in app they have on the Market is the newest Google Maps, but thats only because they didn't want to wait till Cupcake update had come out.
"early this ear is stone cold real"

Chris, what have you been hearing early this ear... lol
Definitely Android. I might be biased having a G1 but I still believe its better than both the iPhone's Mac OS and Pre's WebOS. Most of the stuff Apple showed seemed to be catching up to Android (video recording, mms, tethering, turn by turn nav, etc...) The 3GS is gonna have a 3 meg camera.... the Samsung Android phone is gonna have a 5 megapixel camera. Plus the fact that Apple refuses to allow multitasking.

I like WebOS because I think its a better overall OS than Mac OS, but Palm needs to quickly open up their SDK and let the apps flow to compete with Apple and Google.
So I can understand the reason iphone users would want to use this, but why would Android/G1 users want to use the site when the Gmail app gives us everything except the...."floaty bar"?
I'm pretty sure chicago was supposed to get this like 5 years ago already...

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
