I have an idea, let's compare two slightly similar products that operate on COMPLETELY different technologies and then ridicule one of them for getting to market late without knowing anything about them other than what we've seen in demos.
Just picked up my Eris during lunch today. It's amazing. In my opinion it's much sexier than the Motodroid, both the phone itself and the interface. Sense UI FTW!!
I so want this phone, but I just upgraded 6 months ago. Damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone know if the Eris is coming out on Friday or not? I know last week that was the rumor and all, but we haven't heard anything about November 6th for the Eris since last week. So far it's still all vaporware, there has been no announcement from VZW or HTC that it even exists. I really really want it. I couldn't care less about the motodroid. Give me the sense UI and a possible upgrade to Android 2.0 later for $99.
You're crazy duggy expecting your gaming device to have good games. What good is a portable device if it's doesn't make you look cool?
I lost faith after Hollywood gave the green light to a second Fantastic Four movie. Your average consumer is an idiot and is just fine with stupid action movies with no plot, thin dialogue, and racial stereotypes.
No Bears/Bengals game? Come on, Benson playing against his old team he got kicked out of? And who doesn't want to see Johnny Knox run down the field 3 times faster than anyone chasing him?
"The plasma may be a dying breed"

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

This is most sad statement I've ever read. OLED better hurry up. I refuse to buy LCD.
Apple's solution to the convoluted upgrade path from XP to 7 is a switch to an entirely different platform???? How does that make sense? Try telling a non-computer person they have to back up all their data and reformat and they'll freak out. Trying telling them they have to backup all their data and THEN learn a new OS, and they'll laugh at you.

I don't care how many hoops I have to jump through (and it's not many, all my data is either on a second local drive or on a NAS, who stores stuff on their C drive these days?), Windows 7 is worth it. It's really good.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
