What about a replacement for the i7 920?
(and a drop in price of the latter... ;-)
It ain't no freebie if to begin with, they didn't need to go to LA or don't have anything to do there right?
This is an interesting subject that hasn't really been addressed by the companies involved in the consumer, amateur side of the business.
For instance, I remember Jobs mentioning the "year of HD" too, and later I was also enthusiastic about them participating in the Bluray group, even tough close to 2 years have gone by, and I'm still waiting for a 24" iMac with Bluray burner so I can edit and save the 20+ HDV tapes I've filmed since... Come on Stevie...!!!
Like 95% of consumers really care about that...! (or for that matter read this)
MONSTER = Eastern owner who robs clueless consumers
Flames of Love, by Fancy.
It may be just me, but I have a bit of a problem with a guy donating a ton of $ for good causes, Africa, etc. and at the same time criticizing the OLPC project because it isn't good/sophisticated/M$ enough...
It's a doble-sided person IMHO.

On the other hand, Stringer is the kind of simple man that will admit to his freudian slips up front. It seems to me he could convince anyone with its charm and positive mentality...

Just my $.02
I just love it when somebody tries to write down assumptions, masking them as experience and objective analysis, with supposed experience behind it...
I DO own a W800 walkman phone, the 1st and now oldest cell from SE's music-centric line-up, and I know for a fact that:
-I do synchronize it with Outlook's notes, calendar, tasks and contacts at least once a day.
-I use the phone's speaker to listen to music ocasionally, and the sound Q is nice (just don't expect any bass...)
-SE's Walkman phones with MemoryStick CAN be used as mass-storage devices.

Now, how many cell phones take decent pictures, including 1.3Megapixel ones? not many. Actually, SE's phones with the 2MP digicam have been widely recognized by the media as the best camera-phones (besides obvious specialized pdts like Samsung's 10MP unit). Mine takes nice, decent pics for casual shooting.

I don't understand either, what does a SE's phone have to do with iPod's design...!? When they come out with such a device, then everyone can judge which has the best design, but just bad-mouthing Apple or SE for the sake of it, without a direct cross-reference is just childish.

Last: what's up with the "I just hate everything Sony" attitude? get over it and don't buy their stuff! who cares if you THINK The DaVinci Code is bad (weird judgement since nobody outside Cannes has seen it yet...)

Now I'll go back to listen to my iPod with video.
Sorry for the rant, had to vent...
#14: since when ANY car manufacturer can put the US as a 2nd-hand priority mkt? and you talk about other people being "experts"...
Nobody says their most lucrative mkt isn't Europe, but your argument is so lame. Go ask VW dealers why they've been literally furious with VW HQ for more than a year now? And now they'll be firing so many thousand workers to cut their LOSSES!. It seems just as stupid management and misunderstanding of what the US mkt really wants...
Me likes!
I'd take a white one without the rear spoiler...
I'm that new father needing 4 doors but looking for the right amount of performance around $20k, with top safety features.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
