I've sat on the sidelines long enough listening to you spew your ignorance and embarrass yourself. Regarding $1,000 Blu Ray Players, there are several manufactures releasing a variety of players hitting a multitude of price ranges. If you cannot afford BD, then don't buy it. I am sick of these winning HD DVD fan boys hanging their hat on price; well what did price get you, a failed format!
I have the means to buy a $1,000 player and when Pioneer releases a fully spec'ed Elite player, I will be first in line. That will be my third Blu Ray player to compliment my four HDTV's.
You shop and Wal Mart, I choose to spend my money elsewhere on the finer things. Crap is crap no matter the cost. To quote Ted Knight in Caddyshack "The world needs ditch diggers too." And he is right, I need some one to pick up my garbage on Thursdays and shine my shoes before my business meetings. Nfinity, you are more than welcome to perform any of those tasks to make a few extra bucks to save up for your new PS3. You know you want one.
I wonder what the format sales percentage will be when the Spider Man series hits HD (sure to break the 300 sales record)?
I am going to go out on a limb and predict HD-DVD: 0% Blu-Ray: 100%
I am certain the Hd-dvd shelves at Best Buy and Target will be "sold out" of this title too. Like anyone is inteseted what the "status" is of your local retailer. Rate of sale, that is what the stuido's care about; money!

One last gasp of air left….
It’s over Johnny!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
