@davepermen

have not heard of this method - anywhere where they have complete instructions? the intel site has the 1x card hack and the home server site has the dremel hack. Thanks.
@Paul

Well I know it's an update, but I assume they are including it in the iso for new installs as well. Yes, you can add a pci-e card, but you have to buy a 1x card, or dremel off an old pci-e 16x card so it will fit - not exactly an ideal - headless or remote install should have been there from the start and would be a far more elegant (dremel != elegant) solution.
Let's see if they've finally added headless installs so we can load this onto the intel ss-4200 without buying extra hardware or taking a dremel to an old pci-e card.
$194? Bwaaaaahhaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha.......

I was thinking maybe $50 for the software - after all it's not as useful as a stand-alone device given that it keeps you from using the iphone for anything else at the same time. This from a guy who has owned 4 gps, many smartphones and tends to buy any interesting gadget - heck, I've thought about picking up a tom-tom just so I could have John Cleese's voice giving me directions. This is just absurd. Tom Tom might as well pack it up and walk away.
Patent squatting? you mean, except for the xdr-dram memory in every PS3 and the 94% of the Cell (and Cell derivative) chip-to-chip interconnects that use licensed rambus technology? The only one squatting is another hater in his underwear at his keyboard spewing misinformation for his peers.
free, well regulated, markets. Now, daddy needs some bass.
Too bad NBC took the idea of "event tv" too seriously and has not scheduled a rerun of the first show before the second one - it's not like their schedule is chock full of can't-miss programming either. I would have given it a chance, but having forgotten it started tonight apparently NBC doesn't want me as a viewer (and no - a 7 inch flash video window is not how I'll try a new big picture action drama). Hey guys, you know those cable networks who have been out-programming you for years? They'll be around long after iptv has left you a distant memory. How many times does hbo run a new show before the second ep runs? Four, maybe five times - you have to WANT to miss it.
Actually, it's section 230 of the CDA that protects them here, but yes, blogs who host netbook ads are fully protected.
And yet they still refuse to update the trackman - a few more buttons, better tracking, new materials, refined design - not too much to ask for after 10 years but logitech prefers to see its' long time customers as a nuisance, not an asset. Yes, I have had many logitech peripherals over the years, but not an ounce of loyalty, because they have shown none. The second someone comes out with a better product in any area that I use theirs, I will switch without a second thought.

The squeezebox is a great example, I'm going with an itunes/touch/airport combo instead (even though I don't use a mac) of sb, because I know I can count on apple to continually update the product , while I expect logitech to milk the original sb dry and then go on to something different as they have again, and again and again.

Fine engineers, crap management.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
