After seeing the demo on the 103" TV Panasonic truck tour, I look forward to having a more affordable option in my home.
For $1900, this thing should have included DLNA, WiFi, and built in memory. There's no excuse for not including it. I've seen enough custom whole house systems to know that there is a market for a 400 disc Blu-ray player
Precisely. I've been waiting for the 922 since it was first shown.
Bikini Destinations was the only thing I watched on HDNET.
I was going to switch from cable to Dish Network when they released their Slingbox VIP922, but with no 3G support, I'll squash that plan. The only time I have a wifi connection is when I'm at home which makes the concept pointless for me.
I'm excited by this news.
"Once we've confirmed the stadium isn't built by the same guys that put together the team's practice bubble, we'll be making plans to head down and catch a game."

I lol'd
I would pit the Denon 3808CI against these. It's definitely a shame they didn't include it. I still think the Onkyo would have won, and that's only because of the price cap limiting the AVR4308CI from being considered.
If you have the need to overspend for cables, I definately recommend the Audioquest brand as a great alternative.
Let's hope Dish has something like this in the works, or releases their new VIP922, either one.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
