I'm not a huge fan of the trackball on the Tour, but I have to say, even with that, the Tour is the best phone I've ever had. I am so glad I returned the Storm...
coaster, I think you're much more likely to wind up with a stuck pixel than you are to see burn-in on a modern plasma - unless you don't have any common sense and think torch mode looks good
It's a shame only 1 in 8 care about picture quality
I had an '86 Olds Cutlass that wouldn't die - I thought that was a G body - no?
I used to be a vol. firefighter - one late night/early morning at a large multi-alarm fire, a red cross worker told me I couldn't have a donut unless i paid $0.25 for it - I was pissed because it was the middle of the night and I didn't exactly have room for change in my turnout gear -(most firefighters aren't worried about their wallets as they run out of the house in the middle of the night ) - anyway, they couldn't come up with funds for a dozen donuts to feed firefighters who hadn't left the scene in hours but they can piss away money on a baby Hummer? at least the big hummer has some off-road capability they may be able to say they could possibly use - but this one? just a waste of $ - I hate the red cross
can't DIY w/ cablecard...
I'd be happy to take anything you'd like to give me - keep up the good work!
Didn't Cox already wire up RI for fiber? I'm under the impression they have really fast pipes that are just throttled back - if that's the case, I can understand why Verizon isn't in a rush to compete.

Second, pretty funny to hear they've run fiber in the western part of the state - there's not a whole lot out there
OK - I know people with tivo love it - and I know everyone who's had tivo then switches to the regular Comcast box hates it.... and yes, I've had the software (or hardware) freeze up on me when recording HD content...

But - is this really going to make much of a difference? Once you've learned the current interface - who cares? - it's not that hard

I don't think I'd pay any extra for this, I just don't see any serious value added.

am I crazy? what big features am I missing?
I can't wait for HTPCs to have CableCard support - hopefully they make it easy to move around the house.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
