way too late WD, I got my upgrade from WDTV to Asus O'Play, $99.99 work nice, 1080p stream nicely also does DTS downmix via HDMI. plays RMVB, and all the other 1080p file wdtv would not play.
Orb LIve work nicely, even on 3G some time I get close to wifi quality. why waste money these days.
get a wdtv with ext3 firmware hack + usb ethernet , work with all the HD mkv files.
I just try it, the xbmc hulu video plug in, works nice, no ads when watching 24, u get 3 video quality selection, medium, normal, h264, all works. good job!
yep you have to paid $82 per month that's included the tax, that's $984 a year, who has money like that when shopping at walmart.
just answer my own question, I got a HDMI to DVI cable, hook up to my Dell 19 wide screen monitor (2005FPW), I can change mode to 1080p 60 no problem. couldn't do it on my other DVD or PS3 to this monitor, I guess it don't have HDCP output embedded .
as for the subtitles, the file in srt will show up, not the sub or idx. anyone figures out how to play DTS mkv file to have sound?
no rmvb, I try rename it to rm avi don't read it, rmvb file don't show up sorry. I got this thing mainly for MKV files, all plays except for the DTS file it has no sound. all other works smoothly!
will the HDMI port support HDMI to Component cable meaning will the HDMI have HDCP, since my plasma 5 years old don't have HDMI, just component. composite (why bother)
I call them up for Credit , I am in NYC, the CSR wouldn't give me, they said it need to be a day of outage. 7 hr is not.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
