I'm with you - to my eyes, the picture quality in a quality plasma far exceeds the picture of LCDs
Myths about burn-in and "recharging" are complete crap
"I'm sorry, but this phone is not anywhere near as bad as people keep making it out to be."
it wasn't that it was bad as a phone - I used to have a windows mobile xv6700 and the storm was clearly better than that. The problem is, many people who tried the storm, myself included, had previously used other blackberries. I personally found typing on the storm too slow. I can crank out an email on a curve or 8703, but the storm was painfully slow - and I kept it for 29 days trying to like it.
For someone coming from a regular phone it might be OK, but if you use a bberry as a tool and not a toy, it's not the best option
not to be that guy, but......
So they sold 1million....is that net of returns?
or, do they count mine twice? I bought it, returned it, and they probably sold it to some other sucker
I returned my Storm today, so I'm back to my 8703e - love blackberry, hate the Storm
The Storm is a lot of things, but useful/productive, it is not
check out the big delete key - where's "enter"?
anyone know if the GPS on the storm is "not-crippled" (does it work with 3rd party applications?)
good point - although, they are hitting 4 locations on the 11th, so maybe that is significant?
Resolution should not be a dealbreaker 1024x720 or 768 is fine, especially for a 32"
There is more to picture quality than resolution
it amazes me how few people care about picture quality.... if they want to think plasma is dead and that LCD is where it's at - I can't help them
I agree with you - the hard part about researching HDTVs is that you need to step out from behind the computer - you really need to get out to a lot of different stores and look at these things with your own eyes to find the set with the best picture. (this all gets complicated by in-store settings, poor video sources, and crazy lighting, but I'll save that for another day)
To my eye, I'll still take my "old" 1024x768 panny 42px500u over almost any of the 1920 x 1080 LCDs that were on the front page of the Black Friday ads - you really have to consider the whole package...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
