That's about 9 of the 25 HD locals that they promised by the end of 2006.

Could this be a turnaround in Directv's obvoiusly strict policy against any delivery on their promises? Could it be that they are starting to deliver on their promises?

I guess probably not, they are just thowing us a bone. After all those were 3 months late and they still have 16 of the promised 25 left to deliver. Still, I wish I were in one of their HD markets.

I hope you enjoy your Master's tournament in HD. Please say a prayer for me.
I agree with the rest of you who are angry about DirecTV and their promises.
If there is anyone from DirecTV reading, here is an idea: Spend your money on actually doing the things you promise rather than taking out ads to lie to us about your intentions. Your credibility is shot.
Isn't time we completely ignored DirecTV's HD promises? How are they doing on the 100 channels so far. When I got DirecTV HD in October, they were going to have our locals by the end of 2006, then it became Feb 2007, now its April 2007. Anyone willing to take my bet the they won't deliver my locals by the end of 2007? DirecTV is all talk and no action.

"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
