Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
HD DVD had all the features from day one and they didn't need to have any updates and when the did get upgraded all the HD DVD players had ethernet ports to easily upgrade. The ony blu player that can do this is the PS3 (smart move on sony's side but not everyone, like my dad, dosen't even think about getting a "gaming console" to play movies)
I would change the fact the blu-ray won. I would have gone to Microsoft (if i was Toshiba) and pushed them to go after movie companies to "win" over their support. Microsoft could have done this very easily. Dosnen't matter if they would have put the player in the 360 or not (it would have helped but...)
Anyway, wished HD DVD would have won. I do own a PS3 for blu-ray only (no game interests me) and I do not plan on replacing my HD DVDs with Blu versions. I may buy another HD DVD player as a backup when they come down in price even more.
Sorry for the length, if you read this all the way through...thank you!
Recap: HD DVD = better in every way besides disc size. Players were/are more advanced and are easier updated.
Glad war is over though!
