PLEASE release this in the UK!

Assuming it does gapless like the current Zunes, and plays WMA-Lossless, and has a decent HDD amount of storage, and doesn't sound like garbage, and comes out in the UK, I will pay money for this device *just* to exorcise the heap of crap known as iTunes from my computer. MS seem to know how to do all of that but just won't release the things over here yet.

Like an earlier commenter said, I don't want to rely on grey imports. Too much hassle if something goes wrong. Let me order this from Amazon UK, or walk into a shop in London and buy one, and my iPod's thrown out the window.
If you care about multi-region playback then the PS3 is definitely not the best player.
Why do you say it leap-frogs ArcSoft's TotalMedia? Is PDVD better or do you just mean it's caught up?

I got sick of waiting for PDVD to support MCE -- and also sick of PDVD's bugs, slow download servers (coupled with the constant need for patches for Blu-Ray playback bugs/compatibilty/improvements) and upgrade policy/pricing -- so I was about to give TotalMedia Theater a try. Having not tested it out yet I'd be interested in knowing how they compare.

Actually, since we're not all in the USA and some of us don't want to think about when your summer is (or work out, for every webpage, where the author comes from and which audience they're likely to be aiming at), I think that "calendar Q3" is a far superior phrase than "this Summer."

It's called the INTERNet for a reason, you know! :-)
All the replies so far seem to be saying that all people in prison should have the most miserable time possible, as if taking away their privacy and freedom wasn't enough punishment for their hypothetical crimes, no matter what level of offence the hypothetical prisoner has committed...

Let's take away their books, too. And their beds. And whip them ten times a day until they commit suicide. Even if they just stole an apple.

Let's mess them up so completely that they have no chance of rehabilitation and, if they survive,
come out completely insane and even more criminal. What a brilliant idea.

Sod it, let's just have capital punishment for all crimes, unless you're a celebrity or mates with the president.

...

No, I am not saying that all prisoners should get a PS3, a movie channel subscription and free strippers on a Friday night. Of course not. But they are human beings and human beings go insane if they spend a long period of time without any relaxation or enjoyment whatsoever, which appears to be what you are advocating. Sure, they deserve punishment, but not 24 hours a day because that is counter-productive to all involved (unless you're purely after the strongest revenge possible in all cases, in which case maybe you need to look at yourself more than at them).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
