Here's the question: will the moral outrage hit before or after the game ships? Me thinks they added it as DLC so they can pull the plug as soon as the media gets wind of this.

THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!
How about spending some dollars on cell towers instead of lawyers?

(former iphoner, loving sprint - yes, that's how bad att is)
@ Mack

"The Pre was prettier, but on a bad network" - Um, have you ever used AT&T? It's hands down the worst provider. 30% of calls in NYC get dropped.

Verizion > Sprint > T-Mobile > AT&T in my book, most people would probably switch the middle two. Depends on where you live.

Droid looks great. iPhone would be everywhere if Apple didn't want a fat check from AT&T, now they will lose a lot of ground to the other networks.
Nothing bugs me more than seeing billboards in nyc (one on the west side highway at least) with AT&T boasting "fastest 3G network" when that should read "fastest 3G network that 1/3 people can connect to" (in manhattan, at least).

Picked up the pre last week and have been very happy with it/sprint. Paying $15 less for a lot more (a real 3g network, turn by turn directions, NFL network live video, unlimited net/MMS/texting for $70).

As someone who is living in NYC, this is about right. What's worse than the dropped calls is the impossible-to-connect to 3G network. There is a 1/3 chance I can connect to the internet in manhattan, downtown or east village especially. I am so tired of this crap I ordered a Pre over the weekend and will be dropping the iPhone shortly. I'm sure the iPhone is great elsewhere, but it basically an iTouch with some calling features on AT&T in NYC.

Here's a pic of AT&T's "more bars" and what 3G looks like in downtown NYC:

"...according to GAAP (you know, the dudes that matter)"

"GAAP" = genearlly accepted accounting principles, they are a set of rules, not people.
Nightvision goggles will still not help you find a girlfriend.
Can't wait to see what happens when someone tries to plug in their ipod. Don't see Apple making a Linux iTunes anytime soon.
Can't wait till that guy gets throat cancer from inhaling all those delightful heavy metals that make up most of our gadgets.

(I mean, I wish him the best, but WEAR A FRIGGIN MASK already.)
Pepe the parrot looks pretty sweet actually.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
