@Proghog: Yes, and the world is in color, and we all know how color TV was a flop!

@EduardoRT: AGUILAS!
Ok. I'm downloading the Zune 4 software for my zune 8gb.

I have to ask this question.

Does the software have to be 465 MB? I mean really, almost have a GIG for a media player application that syncs a pmp.

I know it is all cool and slick but come on. BLOAT is obviously in full force here. I hate comparing things to apple but in this case i think it makes sense. iTunes 9 is under 90 MB. What is it about the Zune software that makes it 5 TIMES the size of itunes?

I remember reading one of Paul Thurrott's reviews of Windows 7 and he stated that Microsoft desided to make performance a major platform issue when developing Win7. Umm, Microsoft, shouldn't performance always be a goal when developing software? How about putting Zune 5 on a diet when you start developing it. Software this fat can't perform well on older systems.
Ahhhh, it is really a worker's paradise isn't it!?
Then why do you text so much. Start calling more! I text for question/answer stuff but so many people text whole conversations. Calling is cheaper. I know everyone gets screwed on texting, but everyone is letting themselves get screwed. Stop using it so much and the price will drop. Its only expensive because it can be.
I can't believe that 65 minutes a month is normal in developed countries. That would only be 2.16 minutes a day on average. A lot of people use a cell phone instead of having a land line at home. Unless you have no friends and family, you will be talking more the 2 minutes a day.
"780 minutes per year of voice calls, and 600 SMS per year."

Is that per month, because 780 minutes a year is nothing, that would only be 65 minutes a month
If the airlines are smart and roll this out fleet wide, this would be a great way to get frequent fliers locked onto your airline. For $250 a year you get unlimited usage on airline X. You most likely will not by a subscription on more then airline and thus will be more likely to only fly them.

I fly ALOT and would love to have it on all my flights cause I could get some real work done and chat with the office. I hate 3 and 4 hour flights because my productivity goes into the toilet and I will have to work later into the night to get my work done.
I don't know how I missed that, but I did. I here by fire my self from posting!
I'm not sure why the service manager wasn't fired as well. In my company when there are extreme employee issues like this, my beef is first with the employee and then with his manager who didn't do his job making sure the employee did his correctly.

If you have a systemic employee problem, the problem started higher up then just the base employee.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
