Honestly, if you're going for the quality of plasma, you're more than likely not worried about a little sticker on the box. I personally don't care, but to get around "feelling bad about how much my toy wastes", why not install a small grid tied solar panel to offset the "waste". The different in overall energy usage would actually go down, considering that the peak energy period for the solar panel is in the middle of the day, while you're at work and the TV is off. The couple of hours of usage would easily be made up.

Most frequencies below 80hz are non-directional. As stated above, and dedicated sub enclosure is going to be better than running your front two towers as your sub...there are signals sent over the LFE channel and not in the front two speakers signal, meaning you're missing part of the audio track (albeit probably not too much).

It clearly states you have to buy other devices, but I guess that was pretty difficult to figure out...being that you wouldn't be able to control anything with a conventional wallplate.

Of course the KURO is the end-all-be-all, however you can get a fantastic image from other plasma's. Panasonic's lineup is almost always regarded as right behind Pioneer. Depending on what you specifically need in your setup, I'd go with the PZ850, PZ800 or the PZ85 line.

you seem to forget that you don't get anything close to "no resolution loss" when you want 3:2 pulldown, that brings it down to a measly 300 lines, one third what a plasma produces in motion

Panasonic's plasma's have been contenders for a couple years now, even the 700u series were solid performers for the money.

I love how all of you instantly scoff at the idea. If you have an expensive dedicated theater, that was constructed with highest quality as the goal, this makes sense. You'd already have a regulated, and cleaned power source coming in, and you definitely wouldn't be using the same power cord you can get from walmart to plug your compontents in. Personally, I don't think I'd ever even think about buying this, but it has it's place.

How exactly does a photo make anything look heavy? Unless it was sitting on a scale, with a handwritten note saying it was heavy, with today's date and time, and an ID card showing it was..... I kid, I kid...
