Love it and ordered mine a few days ago. I was bummed when my old monster car charger with lineout wasn't compatible (at least for charging) with my iPhone. Now I can get back to pushing out some line out music goodness to my car's 11 speakers.

OK mine finally got in touch with the iTunes store and activated. I am not sure why it has to talk to the iTunes store after installation but I guess they're servers were flooded with requests.
Exact same symptoms here. Though iTunes does recognize my iPhone when I plug in, I simply get the white screen with 'iPhone' in the middle of it. And I get the connect to iTunes screen on my iPhone as you say.
Yeah. This utterly sucks. I'm on AT&T here in the US. Why is iTunes trying to connect to the store when I click on my iPhone in the left pane of iTunes?
Well I downloaded and installed 3.0, iTunes prompted me that the iPhone would show up in iTunes after a reboot, but then I saw another progress bar on my iPhone as it rebooted, only to end up on the emergency call screen. Now everytime I click on my iPhone from within iTunes, it tries accessing the iTunes store and returns a cannot connect to store error message (-4) or something. Brick city baby.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
