I enjoy Vista. Kill me, eat my childern whatever... It kicks the crap out of XP!

I work at best buy and can continue to promise what I always have... HD DVD players to everyone that wants a good upconverter. And blu-ray in about 9 months when they actually have a player worth a damn.
I usually go to blu-ray.com for all of my HDM news... There are "fair and balanced." That is why I also go to Fox for my news.
wow that is amazing!!! But did you also see that at other pointless stores across the nation the 360 is completely sold out as are Wii's?? What does that mean? Nothing! We are sold out of everything but one A35 HD DVD player at our store and they have been selling like crazy. Is that good news for HD DVD? NO... Is it bad news? NO...

Just enjoy your movies and quite trying to rationalize your purchase.
"as soon as they work out the details of BD Java and PIP"

What he MEANS:
As soon as Blu-ray is ready for prime time.
Currently own 160 HD DVD's and 12 Blu-rays.... They are all the same except one very important FACT:

Blu-rays menuing system is C-R-A-P... 100% total poop. HD DVD has always worked perfectly for me where-as once I start a blu-ray movie I fear seeking out the menu button because it will most certainly be an ordeal work writing on engadget about...

Face it HD DVD "IS" a better technology (which actually works for me 100% of the time!) where Blu-ray has the spec's (which mean nothing to me on paper).

Those numbers gotta be killing the blu-ray fanboys!
"Sad..I had hoped one of the formats would've ultimately won based purely on the format's abilities. Instead, the average consumer who doesn't know any better is going to pick the cheaper and inferior format - only because of toshiba's desperate rock-bottom prices."

REALLY? HD DVD inferior?

You mean because they have dual video and audio decoders STANDARD on all HD DVD players or because unlike blurry, HD DVD is REQUIRED to have LAN connectivity on all of its players?

Sure seems like an inferior format to me!

Lord...Must me crazy.
Interesting Panasonic is using an HD DVD player in that top photo. It is the HD A-1... Nice! I guess Panasonic is going HD DVD. ;)
I was there, getting to see the Original Star Wars Episode 4 in 3-D was the highlight for me, hearing about it and seeing it are two different things, it was a THRILL, and really amazing what they did with it, now i know what Lucas was talking about, when he said how spectacular it was!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
