Apparently Apple blog writers don't read Apple blogs that foretold this announcemnt for weeks, and more vaguely, months.
People can say MMS is outdated and stupid, but it doesn't change the fact that it's still heavily used and a standard feature in modern phones. Its absence is as inexcusable as the absence of any other standard phone feature would be.

I can't imagine why anyone would think email is an adequate replacement for MMS. At the very least Apple should give some rationale for its exclusion.
What I want is a way to jump to the bottom of a page. I read a lot of forums.
Oh man. We're right next to Mount Holly and Westampton. So close, yet so far.
Couldn't agree with the above posters more. It's not "ridiculous" at all. It was awesome when I dumped Verizon as a cell phone provider and I didn't have to call them. Likewise, if/when FiOS comes to my area, I'd love to dump Comcast just as easily.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
