We have a different waterproof/shockproof camera than tested. But omg! you have to consider how convenient it is. I can swim, boat, camp, sweat, dance in the rain whatever and the camera still works. Better yet, i can let my kids use the camera and not freak out when they aren't careful with it. Cat knocks it off the bar, no problem. Dog slobbers on it, no problem. Drop it in the toilet... well, thats a problem, but not for the camera :P
