Yet another quality piece of work from Redmond! I can't believe the quality of products and quality of people that produce it. This company has really fallen down over the last 10 years and the floor is nowhere to be found. There is so much fat there that they can lay off 20% of the company and not miss a beat.
Awesome article Ben - Great Job!

My issue is that the Einsteins in Redmond will not understand this simple architecture you put in few pages, let alone successfully implement it. I don’t care how close they are to doing this, according your sources. They have had years to do so and still haven't done it - I am not going to hold my breath.

They have messed up pretty much everything they have touched and why shall they not do it again? Just to name a few: Cable Card/DirecTV integration, Extenders, etc. The NIH syndrome runs rampant and causes all kinds of stupid actions to be taken – not much different than SONY, which recently admitted to such a mistake.

Anyway, I can’t wait to lay my hands on a such a dream system (if at all possible coming out of Redmond) at the price you describe above. Can sometime point me to where I can get the beta bits to see the latest works of a GM, I mean MSFT?

Its great to see FTC taking proactive steps to stop problems before they get out of hands....Google will be 'n' times worst (as in evil) than MSFT if left alone...Apple is Apple, it doesn't have to be evil, the dumb fan boys pay their Apple Tax, like clock works.
1. Auto focus in the Movie mode
2. Faster fps (5+ would be nice)
3. Better tonal adjustment on images - similar to Canon
4. Better codecs support - at least MPEG4.
5. Price - $999 with the lens
6. Better weather resistance
Perfectly priced now....heck I just paid $30 for a leather case for my Mogul. In for 1.
That is only ugly looking camera for year 2008. There is a good reason all "retro" things are "retro" - because we move on to better designs.
I am going to wait for Canon 50D - sorry D90!
Wake me up when it hits $200, also please make sure you got XP loaded.
The most important question is - how good is it at cutting cake?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
