You need to make the distinction between Mark Levinson the individual and Mark Levinson the company which produces this amplifier. The two at this point in time have nothing to do with one another. Mark as an individual assisted with the design of the HTIB system as well as relabling chinese oem goods as "Red Rose Music" systems. The company which was sold to Harman International still produces very very good stuff.
It's really funny that people think that audiophiles are the ones who spend 100k on a system. That may be 5% of large custom projects.."audiophile equipment." Most large projects consist of distributed av to multiple lcds and plasmas with in wall or in ceiling speakers. It adds up pretty quickly. And plenty of these installations would have pioneer products included in them.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
