@Steve

I don't think resistive is a joke. It's a matter of preference. Some other factors come in to play as well..

Take Nokia's for example. A lot of people in Scandinavia wear gloves, where a capacitive touch screen just wouldn't work. It would work, but it would go something like this:

Take gloves off.
Type text message.
Put gloves on.
Repeat.
I'd call it..

Tripod.
Something about the lamp in pic 2 doesn't look right..
Fortunately, the "with Google" on the back of the phone pretty much prevents Verizon from putting any of their junk on the device.
@ High : We aren't discussing XBL vs PSN?

Nobody said putting a disc in was better than not putting a disc in. What myself and Raptor are getting at is this:

The act of putting a disc in isn't that big of a deal. It is done all the time whenever you want to play anything from optical media. Raptor's point is that on top of paying for a console, broadband connection, and Netflix subscription, in order to do Netflix on an Xbox, the live membership carries a fee too.
What's so bad about putting a disc in to stream?

Last I checked, in order to play a game, dvd, or bluray, I had to get up, walk over to the PS3, and insert the disc?

So the joke is on you xbox fanboi..
Ike you would say some shit like that..
@ David Vogt

If you don't mind jailbreaking, Backgrounder + Kirikae makes for a compelling combo.
This is a real shame. I was dead set on leaving AT&T / the iDevice to join the Droid's, but an ETF of $350? Now I'm not so sure. Really Verizon?

C'monnnn! (Say it like the guy in the PS3 ad)
So from what everyone is saying.. the guy kinda sounds like a douche.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
