In the 8 years I've had DirecTV, this is the first thing they've done that has irritated me really. When I got my HDTV 2 months ago, and they sold me on the HD tier, they couldn't have mentioned then that they were going to do this new tier? I was sold a list of channels and a promise of more for $10/mo... 2 months later, the list suddenly gets shorter, or the price goes up (I know, they added a ton of channels, but that's not the point here. Those channels were promised at 10/mo). could be worse... I could still be watching a 27" TV.
I would have been happy with 3 hours when I set up my mom's tv. We had to wait overnight to call the helpdesk. My problem was in the manual, but it was super buried. I didn't know that there was a second hidden power switch that needed to be turned on. I even looked for something like that in the manual and on the tv, upon not finding anything, figured there was something else wrong with the tv.
I knew someone would take offense to the fact that I prefer the original. If you want to play a rom, play a rom. There's just something about a real game to me. If I'm playing a rom, I play a game, then switch to a different game. But if it requires me to change out the cart, I'm more likely to continue to play the same game repeatedly until I'm good enough at it to whip you anyday.

Yeah, the memory card takes up less space, but they fail too.. when I have a cart fail, I lose one game. when you have a memory card fail, you lose all yours. And I've got plenty of space... I can store my games under my pinball machines. I guarantee you can't fit those on an SD card.
Why can't the stupid thing just play the original carts? Fine, great, let it play roms stored on an SD card, but give me a slot. I want to put the game in the machine. I have over 300 original atari 2600 carts including some fairly rare ones. If you want to play retro games... play them right. Roms are like cheating to me. At least I can play roms with a clear conscience, because I actually own the games I guess.
Sad to see so many people blaming the cops for the guy that soaked himself in gasoline then refused to do as he was ordered to by the police. I personally love tasers. Most officers carrying them have been hit by one just so they know what they are doing to the other person. Even if that other person is an idiot, theif, drug dealer, rapist, or pedophile. Hell, I say we light them all on fire.
Greatest bluegrass band ever: Split Lip Rayfield (RIP Kirk)

Either that or some pinball music

"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
