It does NOT support Dolby Digital or DTS, so if your Mac is connected to an audio/visual receiver don't expect surround sound. This is a huge oversight in my opinion. Excusable when MediaCentral was a beta app, but for $30 you MUST include surround support in a media center application.
Having seen the promo for Studio 60, all I can say is... Wasn't The West Wing cancelled already? It looks simply dreadful. This show won't make it past mid year. Next.
Should we start the petition now for a release on HD-DVD or Blue Ray? DVD is sooo yesterday.
Having just seen Mission Impossible 3 all I have to say is that Alias has made it to the big screen. Sure the lead is now a male, but it's Alias in just about every way. Starting the episode at the end, check. Latex masks, check. Dead but not really dead, check. Quirky technology guy, check. Jumping off building with parachutes and ropes, check. Establish 'real life' with leading character, check. Discussing personal life during mission, check. All that's really missing is Rambaldi.
Samsung DLP, 3 years old, 3059 hours on the original lamp.
Almost three years with my Samsung DLP, haven't had to replace the bulb yet.
I read things on THIS blog that leave me scratching my head as well.
Why would anyone buy a Blue-Ray player? I don't know, maybe because the majority of the studios are supporting BR. Having attended CES this year, Blue-Ray was by far the more popular format.
Cool, he's predicting that Forza 2 will make an appearance. I'll finally know whether a 360 is in my future. No force feedback support (none of this rumble crud) then no sale for me.
The critical reception didn't impact the film because the film wasn't screened for critics. Which in and of itself says "this film sucks", but it does manage to help a film make money on it's opening weekend.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
